Our Commitment to Sustainable Mobility: The Company Electric Car
With the aim of reducing the environmental impact of our activities and contributing to the transition towards a more sustainable economy, we introduced our first company electric car over two and a half years ago.
On the occasion of moving to our new headquarters, we installed an electric vehicle charging station. The charging point is available to employees and visitors, and it also supplies energy to our company electric car.
Since its introduction, the electric vehicle has allowed us to save over 3,200 liters of diesel fuel annually, avoiding the emission of nearly 20 tons of CO₂ into the atmosphere, in line with the national emission reduction targets promoted by the Ministry of Environment and Energy Security. This is a concrete first step towards greener corporate mobility.
Currently, we use the company electric car for medium-short trips. This choice is linked to the still limited range of the more affordable models and the sparse charging network in many areas of Italy.
However, our goal is clear: to gradually increase the presence of electric vehicles in the company fleet. Considering that some of our cars travel more than 130,000 km per year, the environmental and economic benefits are significant.
The spread of company electric cars is one of the main drivers of the Green Economy, and we want to continue investing in solutions that reduce emissions and improve operational sustainability.
This is an important step in our sustainable mobility strategy, consistent with other green actions we have undertaken over the past years.
