Single-sided tapes consist of a backing coated on one side only. It would seem very simple but the range of single-sided tapes includes an enormous variety of supports, coated with many different adhesives, capable of adapting to the most diverse substrates and the most disparate use situations.

The application of single-sided tape can be temporary or permanent. Sometimes it is permanent: the external side of the tape remains visible and exposed, and must be able to maintain its aesthetic and functional characteristics throughout its useful life. It is often temporary: the difficulties increase because at the time of removal there must be no trace of its previous presence. These aspects of their use are very important because, together with the variety of surfaces and environmental situations, they contribute to making the choice of the correct product very complex.
