Die cutting...an added value!

Die-cutting is the process that adds greater value to adhesive products. By cutting the adhesive tapes into predefined shapes, an important semi-finished product is obtained, essential in many production processes. The designed die-cuts avoid wasting material, increase the effectiveness of the adhesive and simplify its application.

Die-cutting is the most complex of the adhesive tape transformation processes. To obtain a good result, efficient machinery, trained personnel and many technical measures are needed, the result of many years of experience in this sector. BMP’s expertise in these transformation processes is a very important asset that the company makes available to its customers.

The blanks can be supplied as single blank or half-cut pieces on a roll or sheet. They can be made for manual or automated application according to the customer’s production needs. In the latter case they can have a defined center distance and possible centering holes for use with application machines. The addition of an overflowing liner or one equipped with a fingerlift tab can facilitate the application procedure.

Depending on the type of material, the runs and the criticality of the details to be produced, production must be carried out using ad hoc machinery.
