A (digital) eye for our customers

Along with the satisfactions, with the achievement of the IATF, in 2021, many new procedures have arrived, especially regarding production processes and quality controls.

Among other things, the Certification requires us to have precision in feasibility analyses, errors reduced to a minimum in the production phase and rather rigorous dimensional controls.

To meet these needs, we have introduced a new profile reader into our fleet.

The gauge is able to detect optically (and contact for 3D pieces or thicknesses) all dimensions with an accuracy of approximately 4 microns; It therefore detects distances, radii, diameters, linearity, center distances, etc., and can also perform an analysis of the profile of the blank based on a CAD drawing.

Once you set a program, it automatically detects and measures multiple pieces with just one click. The data is stored, linked to the batch and statistically analyzed for the most common control indices such as CpCpksigma.

The reader also automatically displays both the statistical distribution and an X-R control chart.

In this way it is possible to correctly measure the dimensions but also the capabilities of the processes, also thanks to a more accurate feasibility analysis during the development of the project whose ultimate aim is to allow us to communicate to the customer the tolerances that can be guaranteed.

In production, however, the reader is aimed at obtaining the final approval before proceeding with industrialization and carrying out intermediate checks in order to intercept any process deviations.

For example, you can easily check the frequency of a potentially deadly event and therefore establish whether it is necessary to continue monitoring it with the same frequency or whether it is possible to reduce the controls.

In short, it is true that four eyes see better than two… but one digital eye sees better than all!
